Motion has had numerous reports over the past few years of folks running factory LS heads and having issues where a pressurized cooling system, a backfire, or over boost has allowed the frost plugs to push out.  This can create a dangerous scenario where water dumps out and gets on your tires.  

The New Motion LS Frost Plug Brackets were made to retain these frost plugs in case of a scenario where they are possibly going to push out.  While this does prevent engine damage vs. not having them, the goal is to retain the frost plugs to the best of their ability to hopefully keep water off of the race surface and off of your tires.
